Coach Amanda, aka “Panda”, was introduced to CrossFit in 2011 by none other than head coach, Chad Lanier. Starting with CrossFit style WODs at the local globo gym, she got a taste of what working out with purpose really meant. As a former collegiate athlete, she was eager to recreate the competitive, structured, and plain old ass-kicking workouts of her college years.
She soon grew out of the non-functional fitness facility and finally joined a real CrossFit gym. Once released from captivity and in a place where Pandas roam free, she was unstoppable. Addicted to the CrossFit experience, she decided to take it to the next level. Coach Panda is CrossFit Level 1 Certified and passionate about the overall health and well being of the members of CrossFit Dix Hills. Aside from coaching, she has spent the past 5 years working in healthcare where she continues to care for our community.
Don’t be fooled by her cuddly exterior, this Panda means business. So show up on time, and ready to work. Oh and also, have fun, because to her, that’s what CrossFit is all about!
Coach Dana found CrossFit in 2011 while on a search to find a healthier lifestyle that would also make her stronger, mentally and physically. She always had a passion for health, nutrition and fitness but she instantly fell in love with the camaraderie and competitiveness that CrossFit offers.
She greatly admires the emphasis on getting stronger rather than losing weight, as well as the emphasis on solid nutrition to fuel performance in and out of the gym. Dana’s love of fitness and nutrition led her to obtain a National Academy of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer Certification in 2014 as well as the CrossFit Level 1 Certification soon after.

Although she was teaching up to 10 classes a week, the results of all those hours spent in a ‘globo’ gym didn’t producethe results she was looking for. With proper nutrition, determination and dedication to CrossFit, Jenn transformed her body and mind in a very short period of time. Less than a year after starting CrossFit, Jenn became pregnant but this did not stop her. Coach Jenn continued with CrossFit throughout her pregnancy. She attributes CrossFit to a very easy pregnancy and a quick recovery after having a C-Section. Jenn is stronger now and in the best shape of her life, all after having her son.
