How did you hear about CrossFit and what made you sign up?
My friend Stefanie Fitzpatrick and I both tried the initial classes at the track. She joined first and told me how much I would absolutely love the workouts. I took a free class and then immediately signed up for Foundations. During the first class I asked Chad, “When do we do cardio?” Well by the end of the class I was on the floor apologizing for ever asking that question. I was hooked!!!!!!
What do you love about CrossFit?
The list is endless!!! I love my coaches, all the friends I’ve made, the fact that I can work out with my son, and most of all, the way I feel when I leave class (like I can conquer the world).
What has been your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?
My biggest accomplishment had not been something that happened in the gym, but something that happened in my head. CrossFit has truly made me realize that Strong is Beautiful. I am not afraid to gain muscle and I am no longer afraid of the number on the scale. It’s a huge accomplishment to be 47 and be in the best shape of my life. All women should have this experience.
Please name something that you would like to accomplish in the next year.
I would like to string together double unders, be able to do a strict pull up, and a kipping pull up that doesn’t look like a hot mess 🙂
What is your advice to other CrossFitters or those who are considering trying CrossFit?
Just do it!!! It’s truly life changing. Thank you so much CFDH for giving me a strong and healthy life.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of CrossFit?
Yoga, hiking, paddleboarding, listening to live music and of course eating almond butter.
